New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology - Torres Hall

We were tasked with providing comprehensive structural design services for the new residence hall at the New Mexico Institute of Technology. This project was initiated to meet the growing demand for student accommodation, resulting in the construction of a spacious 38,000 sq. ft. residence hall. Thoughtfully designed as a 3-story wood-framed structure, the building comfortably accommodates 155 students. It offers a range of amenities, including a well-appointed two-bedroom apartment for residence staff or guests, a catering kitchen equipped for large events, and three student kitchens for daily use. Additionally, the hall is equipped with modern laundry facilities and an elevator, ensuring accessibility for all residents. The building also features a versatile multi-purpose room for various events and activities, along with several inviting student lounges that provide spaces for relaxation and social interaction.
