Las Cruces High School
Stubbs Engineering provided comprehensive structural design services for the Phase I renovations and additions at Las Cruces High School, covering 192,000 sq ft of new construction. This project included a new two-story administration building with a computer room, multimedia/gaming room, and two classroom wings around an open-air courtyard. A pedestrian bridge, 110feet long and 20 feet wide, connects the administration building to another structure, spanning a five-lane street while maintaining aesthetic continuity. The expansion added 59 new classrooms, a Counselors Building, and a Performing Arts Center. Utilizing a structural steel framing system was crucial for achieving the architect's open floor plan, optimizing cost efficiency, and ensuring reliable results.
