We provided structural design services for a new fire station in Forney, TX, addressing the growing demand from the expanding urban population in the Dallas area. This 10,500 sq ft, single-story facility is constructed with robust load-bearing precast concrete exterior walls, complemented by bar joists and beams for the roof and interior columns. The foundation system consists of drilled piers with grade beams to ensure stability. As part of a design-build project, we worked closely with the contractor to meet their requirements and effectively manage the challenges posed by the site's expansive clay conditions.
